What Opportunities might my account have?

Opportunities are recommended to you based on your account and data. Some examples you might see are:

Replace underperforming adverts. Adzooma will identify adverts with lower CTR or ROI rates than the average, giving you the Opportunity to replace it. This will stop this advert from eating up your budget and give the stronger adverts a chance to deliver better results.

Add new keywords. We’ll look at the top-performing keywords over the last 30 days related to the keywords you’re already targeting and identify new keywords that will lead to an increase in clicks. For example, if you’re already bidding on “notebooks” we might suggest “lined notebooks” if it will improve performance.

Pause non-converting keywords. If there are any keywords in your campaign that are getting clicks, but not converting customers, you’ll get an Opportunity to pause them. This will free up more of your budget for the keywords that are converting.

Enable ad scheduling. If your adverts are running 24/7, you might get an Opportunity to limit this to the times your customers are most likely to be searching. You’ll be able to click the exact times you want your adverts to show, which is particularly useful if you only operate between certain hours.

We’re always updating and adding new Opportunities to keep your campaigns running at their best.

Your helpful assistant

Opportunities are your virtual assistant that will be there when needed. Opportunities will only show if something has triggered them. Fundamentally, the less you see, the better optimised your accounts are.

That means you can move onto testing and working on your strategy. Carry on performing your usual magic, then check back with us to see if there’s anything you’re missing. Rinse and repeat.

For new accounts, Opportunities can take a little longer to load. It just takes some time to properly analyse your data to make sure we’re sending you the right recommendations. In most cases, they will be ready within the first 24 hours after you sign up.

Where can I find my Opportunities

Once you’ve created your Adzooma account, click Opportunities on the top menu. Your available Opportunities will be shown in a list underneath the queue.

In this list view, you will see:

The title of the Opportunity

The campaign or ad group that it relates to

How much time applying this Opportunity could save you

The predicted increase of impressions it can generate

The predicted increase of clicks it can generate

If you’re after something specific, you can filter the list of Opportunities. Just click one of the four categories on the left-hand side (Improve Performance, Reduce Wasted Spend, Best Practice and Account Structure) to filter them.

How do I apply Opportunities?

To fully understand how it all works, create an account and take our interactive walkthrough. It will guide you through the process, step by step.

Prefer reading instructions? No problem. Here’s how you do it.

Click Opportunities to load the available Opportunities.

Take a look at your list of Opportunities and find the ones that look interesting.

Click ‘Details’ to find out more information. This will bring up a pop up that tells you how this Opportunity can help improve your campaigns.

If you’re happy, click the queue button to add it to the Opportunity queue. Some Opportunities may need you to take action first. For example, if you’re testing new advert headlines you will need to supply the ad creative, as shown below.

Repeat until all the opportunities you want to apply are in your queue. Then hit ‘Apply All’ and sit back. Boom.

Once done, you’ll see a pop up confirming that all changes have gone through, summarising how much time you’ve saved as well as the number of clicks and impressions you’ve achieved.

To save you the effort of applying every Opportunity individually, they get added to your queue. In the top left you’ll see a summary of the time these combined Opportunities will save you, as well as how many impressions and clicks they are predicted to generate.

All of your Opportunities are listed here for you to review. If you’re unsure, you can click the ‘remove’ button to delete the Opportunity. Once you’re happy, you can press the ‘Apply All’ button in the bottom right to have all queued Opportunities added to your account.

That’s it, the changes have been made. Now you carry on as normal and check back here when new opportunities are ready for you.
